A resident of Aquem-Margao, Jeet Jain, has filed a complaint at the Margao police station alleging that he was cheated of Rs 20 lakh before 13 April 2026. In his complaint, Jain stated that the accused, a person from West Delhi known to him, falsely claimed to be associated with his company. The accused allegedly used the company’s name and showed related documents to convince several people to invest, promising high returns. Jain further alleged that the accused collected around Rs 20 lakh from various individuals and used the money for personal purposes. He also claimed that the accused created forged documents and presented them as genuine to show that the funds had been transferred to the complainant’s company accounts, thereby cheating both Jain and other investors.
